Dr. Karen H. Chao

Dr. Karen Chao is a developmental optometrist and has been helping children with their vision needs since 1995.  She focuses in helping children (and adults) overcome vision problems that interfere with spelling, reading, learning and behavioral problems.

​Dr. Chao also helps children and adults who have had head injuries that resulted in vision problems which other professionals have said were "untreatable".  She is a member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, the American Optometric Association and the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association. 
 
Dr. Chao is an active member of the community providing educator lectures on the vital role vision plays in learning.  

​In addition, Dr. Chao has served as President of Soroptimist International of Alhambra-San Gabriel-San Marino (1999-2000), President of the San Gabriel Valley Optometric Society (1999-2000), and past board member of the Alhambra School Foundation. ​
